All safe and sound

Hey everyone we have had no service so I will post full blogs when I can. Today we are on a very hard climbing day and are sitting at one of the highest points which has given us a couple of seconds service. We have a few tired blustered feet but all are okay and send their love.

We have a Family Camp happening this weekend with 47 people in attendance. Weather is great, activities are a go and I'm told the families are already having the best time. This is the stuff you guys are making possible!!! All our love xx

  6. With 1 week of the Trek behind you, we hope the hardest and longest days have been achieved. Your poor feet, legs and back must be feeling it by now... and that's why I know that I really shouldn't be telling you what Karissa and I found when we were cleaning up the office and packing for camp.

We found a glossy brochure about an annual ultramarathon across the Sahara Desert called the “Marathon des Sables” it’s six-days & 156 miles through grueling sands and heat. Unsurprisingly, considered the toughest foot race on the planet. Then I thought... I wonder if you are actually thinking about this and whether you all might be in training?

From home, the time feels like it's passing slowly. We've been following the weather each day- freezing nights and beautiful days and hope you are all having an amazing (no doubt it's tough out there!) experience. LP x
P.S. Yeah, I know with Carol in the desert, the cleaning up remark isn't even slightly believable

    Hi Jodi/Mum!
By the time you read this, you will be half way through the trek. We are thinking of you and your sore knees and feet. Fantastic news: the group has raised over $74000 and you have personally raised over $10k! That is so awesome, and surely worth all the blisters, sore muscles and aching bones (easy for us to write – we have no blisters and any aching we may have had was well relieved by sitting in the spa having a few beers last night … and probably again tonight …). No need to be concerned about us - no really.
We can't stop thinking of you. You and the group of wonderful people are doing an amazing thing for people who will truly benefit from your achievements – you are inspirational.
    Love you!
    Pat and Grace
