May you all be blessed with the best of weather, preparation and conditions. Enjoy the mate-ship and sense community amoungst your small group, every step of the way. It is only 16 days and it is for the children. You've practised walking a lot recently, so as long as you've packed spare undies & socks, you're good to go. I cant wait to read the blog! Have fun & enjoy yourselves!!! :) -Sara Dodds
Thank you girls & Rod for setting out to attack the desert with courage and resilience. So much personal training has gone into preparing yourselves for this challenge. I just read through your itinerary. Wow! It’s going to be amazing, albeit tough 16 days ahead.
Here is a fact to start your journey off - 70% of the Australian mainland is classified as semi-arid, arid or desert. That makes it the driest inhabited continent on earth and 3% of Aussies live in the desert!
Looking forward to reading your blog news. No doubt over the 2 ½ weeks, there will be great mateship shared and many, many laughs. I’ll research a few more desert facts to share with you from my desk during the Larapinta Trek 4 Kids. LP x
