Our last night in camp was a lovely night. We were treated to another awesome dinner, had a beautiful remembrance service for our Camp Quality kids, and were surprised by our amazing guides when they presented us all with our own Trek Larapinta T-Shirts.
This morning we were up again at 6.30 am, had Breaky and headed off for our last walk - the Ormiston Pound Walk. It's not part of the Larapinta Trail but was voted as in the top 10 of Australia's best walks.
We weren't that keen to start with, after the past 15 days of walking, but at the end of the 8 Km trek we were all so glad we did it as it was spectacular and an easy day compared to what we have had.
We then all sat in the river bank and had lunch before jumping in the troopies for the 2 hour trip back to Alice.
It was bittersweet saying our goodbyes to our amazing Guides, we have had so much fun with them over the past few weeks.
Then it was time for SHOWERS! Who knew a shower could be so incredible - red dust fell from our skin and hair and finally we all felt clean again.
Tonight we have been out to the local Club for dinner to celebrate our achievement and Fi Fi's 40th birthday.
Well that's it everyone - another Challenge adventure for the kids has been completed. Lifelong friendships have been made and everlasting memories created.
I am privileged to know this incredible group of trekkers who came together to do something incredible!
Life is so short - live it to the fullest, put yourself outside your comfort zone, show your kids anything is possible !
Until the next adventure

Gorgeous Donna, thank you for these amazing posts of our journey! I hadn't seen any of them until today and I just enjoyed sitting with a cup of tea reading them all on shedding a happy tear or two. It was so great to read about our amazing trip and to see what all of our friends and families had been following along with. You did a wonderful job of explaining what we were going through and reading the updates brought back so many fantastic memories that I didn't know I'd forgotten already! Thank you for not only organising us all to do this incredible challenge but for helping to make it such an incredibly enjoyable and life-changing experience. I can't thank you enough for encouraging me to be a part of it! Much love, Jodi x
