We walked back to our accommodation and as we climbed to the top of the stairs, I missed the top step, tripped and fell onto the glass bottle I was carrying which smashed everywhere - it wasn't a pretty sight ! Ali of course was in stitches laughing - worried for me of course, but laughing so much. I think my fit bit that I was wearing on my left hand was my saving grace from me actually cutting my wrist - not a good start to our adventure !
We had a lovely dinner at the Restaurant at the accommodation and have packed our bags ready to start tomorrow. We have breakfast booked for 7.00 a.m. and are being picked up at 7,30 a.m. We are all enjoying a last hot shower for a while, getting in our PJ's and about to go to bed.
Tomorrow sees us doing 13.5 kms for our first day and is expected to take around 6 hours.
We have a great bunch of Trekkers and I am so proud of everything they have all done to get themselves here and the funds they have raised for the Camp Quality kids.
It's going to be an awesome 16 days with an amazing bunch of people and we can't wait to share it all with you.
Until tomorrow,
Donna.

The last Supper! Go CQ team. Why don't you have a drink in your hands Carol? Stay safe and look forward to the Blogs. Tony
ReplyDeleteIt’s easy to get flustered in the outback, particularly if you’ve ended up in a survival situation. Bear Gryll’s says that your best survival tool is staying focused and calm. If you feel confused, or panicked, you may end up making a bad decision.
ReplyDeleteSo, after reading about your adventures in Alice Springs I thought "Who wouldn’t be calm with Donna and Shari on hand attend to any potential situations?" Yep, then I chased that thought straight up with "Thank goodness for your 4 experienced guides awareness! We totally thank you guys for looking after our family and friends. We know you will love each of our CQ trekkers as much as we do". LP x
Good luck Ali, we are so proud of what you do. Good luck to the rest of you too
